What to include when it is live

The property address, which tells us the area and therefore which rules apply. Roughly how many storeys. What the gutters are actually doing - spilling over the front edge, backing up at the downspout, sagging, staining the fascia. Whether there are guards fitted now. And whether the downspouts run into buried pipes, if you know. That last one matters more than it sounds. It is the single most common cause of a problem that looks exactly like a clogged gutter, and knowing the answer up front changes what we bring.

What happens next

We look at the property before quoting anything beyond routine cleaning, because the things that move the price - run length, height, access, and what the outlets feed - are the things that get described inaccurately over the phone. For work in one of Charlotte's eight local historic districts, we confirm the position with the Historic District Commission before scheduling exterior work.
